Location:
Isla Joya has wonderful elevation over the Caribbean Sea, which is a rare find in Bocas del Toro, where private islands are usually tufts of mangroves! Skirted by a gorgeous coral reef, the island also has access to a deep water bay behind it with a mud/sand mix bottom perfect for mooring your dream boat. The 3144 m2 island is landscaped with mature flowering trees which offer plenty of shade, and excellent soil- it is said that the island formed from the Volcanic explosion in the 1400s. The main house has a large bedroom and covered patio with jacuzzi and bathroom. There is a separate kithchen attatched to the bathroom, a large communal thatched roofed living room, and a guest cabin made in traditional ways. next to the boat house with two boat slips there is a large storage deposit, with enough space to be converted into an apartment. The solar system will provide enough power for expansions.
