2016 WORLD SYMPOSIUM - LEADING REAL ESTATE COMPANIES OF THE WORLD™
At the end of October this event was held in Amsterdam where representatives of LeadingRE member real estate companies from some 30 countries connected with each other to gain information about the global market and learn new strategies to grow their business. In addition, they explored the many treasures of Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, known for its artistic heritage, canal system and narrow houses.
The first day was one of total distraction, participants took a guided boat tour of some of Amsterdam's most impressive canals: Herengracht, Keizersgracht and Prinsengracht, including the "golden curve", where the former homes of some of Amsterdam's wealthiest families are located. On the second day the participants got right into the topics planned for the event, among the main ones were:
- How real estate is an increasingly international business influenced by global economic outlook and cultural dynamics.
- Differences in real estate practices around the world and how real estate agents interact with their clients and educate and familiarize them with the situation outside the country with local practices.
- Speculation on how the United Kingdom's exit from the European Union could affect not only the market in Great Britain, but also the interconnected global economy.
- Current overview of Russian business and its impact on the real estate market.
- Technology trends in the real estate market.
- The impact of Global in the United States.
- Leveraging commercial real estate.
