DISCOVER HOW TO GIVE YOUR HOME A CHRISTMAS ATMOSPHERE THIS 2018
When Christmas comes, we all rejoice! That's true. But it is also true that we think of the thousand things we have to do so that everything goes perfectly and our loved ones have a real Christmas Eve.
More often than not, or maybe it is that most people think so, Christmas represents an expense not only of energy but also economic and, perhaps, you do not want to have to invest in Christmas decorations and decorations that you already have, because we all know that Christmas decorations are almost always the same at all times.
So, if you want to skip those typical ornaments and prefer to make them yourself, perfect!
MAKE YOUR OWN CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS
One of the most beautiful added values of making your own Christmas ornaments is that it becomes a fun activity, since it allows you to involve the little ones at home as well as other family members and friends. So here are some ideas for ornaments you could make.
The centerpiece
It is the star around which your visit will revolve in the house. So you should get creative to give it a chic Christmas look, a bit minimalist. For example, you can place a fruit basket made of wicker and use eucalyptus branches previously decorated with colored ribbons. You will see that it will be, by its smell, an original Christmas touch.
Crafts
Origami is your great ally in this crusade to decorate your home. We are all by nature very skilled in crafts. So what we have to do is to be a little creative. We can, for example, make pine trees of the colors we want with cardboard, but well designed and put them on the doorknobs, on the tabletop or any other place you prefer.
Ornaments such as the classic Christmas balls can also be made with origami choosing different sizes and colors; we can use different sized glasses as templates. When you have several balls, then cross them with a string and you will have a beautiful and colorful chain of Christmas balls!
Magic ribbons
In your bookstore or stationery store you can get some fabulous ribbons that come with various types of prints or if you prefer unicolor. They are fun because they are easy to use and their glue is not so strong as to damage the wall when you remove them. With them you can simulate a large fir tree in those corners of the house, to give it a Christmas touch.
Chalkboards
During the Christmas vacations we replace the school chalkboards with magic ones. Just paint your walls with chalkboard paints. Choose one that is close to the nativity scene or the Christmas tree and let your creativity run wild creating Christmas motifs on it together with the little ones in the house. It will be fun!
